Woori Bank Job: Officer/Senior Officer, Trade Finance

Key Responsibilities

As an Officer/Senior Officer in Trade Finance, you will play a crucial role in our global operations. Key responsibilities include:

• Handling foreign export document negotiation and local export discounting.
• Monitoring overdue export collections and ensuring timely settlement of payments.
• Processing cash incentive files and maintaining accurate financial records.
• Managing import and export L/C advising and amendments, including daily Bangladesh Bank Online Reporting.
• Ensuring smooth settlement of export proceeds through both Bangladesh Bank and inter-branch transfers.
• Updating and maintaining all documents related to export, including stamping foreign bills.
• Issuing certificates such as Short Shipment & others as required.
• Collecting and processing payment instructions from customers efficiently.
• Receiving and checking import documents, and endorsing them for release to the customer.

Required Qualifications

We are looking for a dedicated professional with a strong academic background and relevant experience.

• Education: A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a business discipline, from a reputed Public, Private, or Foreign University. A strong academic record is essential.
• Experience: A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in Trade Finance activities within a commercial bank is mandatory. Experience with SWIFT banking systems and foreign exchange is highly valued.
• Skills: Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
• Language: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Bengali are a must for this role.
