Key Responsibilities for Trade Finance Officer

• Manage foreign export document negotiation and local export discounting.
• Monitor and report on overdue export collections and accepted bills to management.
• Process cash incentive files and ensure timely submission.
• Handle L/C advising, import LC management, and daily reporting to Bangladesh Bank.
• Execute settlement of export proceeds through Bangladesh Bank and inter-branch systems.
• Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation related to all export transactions.
• Maintain stamping of foreign bills and issue relevant certificates.
• Collect and process payment instructions from customers efficiently.
• Receive, check, and endorse import documents for customer release.
• Utilize SWIFT banking systems for seamless international transactions.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Education: Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in a business discipline from a reputed public, private, or foreign university with a strong academic background.
• Experience: At least 3 years of experience in trade finance activities within a reputable bank.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.
• Communication: Excellent presentation and communication skills in both English and Bengali are essential.
• Knowledge: Deep understanding of international banking jobs regulations, LC documentation officer procedures, and local compliance standards.
• Core Competencies: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time-management abilities.
